Our Program

Burton Physiotherapy offers a sponsored athlete program which aims to support local elite level athletes with Physiotherapy and service support to help them perform to their best. To qualify for the program, athletes must be competing at the highest level in their sport, either professionally or internationally.

Eilidh Prise

Eilidh is a professional triathlete, who qualified for her professional triathlon licence for 2025 after finishing third at her first Ironman at IM Portugal in 2024, in a time under 10 hours. Eilidh is a three time Celtman Scottish Extreme Triathlon winner and course record holder, and in 2022 she won the Norseman XTRI World Championships in Norway, known as the world’s hardest triathlon, finishing in under 12 hours. Prior to becoming a triathlete, Eilidh competed at international level in modern pentathlon, representing team GB at the World Championships and World Cup, and she took part in the test event for the Tokyo Olympics in 2019. 

Maisie Aspinall

Maisie competes for the University of Aberdeen rowing team and received a student sports scholarship and sports bursary from the university for rowing.  She is also funded by the Sport Scotland Institute of sport in recognition of her achievements and performing to national level in rowing. 

Maisie’s rowing achievements include: Scotland women’s team captain 2023; Scotland team women’s sweep 2023 and 2024 (gold in women’s Coxless four and eight); U23 GB final trialist 2024; U19 World Championships A final Coxless four 2022; winner coxed junior four women’s Henley regatta 2022, rowed as a junior at Aberdeen schools rowing association.
